Walnut Wheat Cake
Ingredients:
Handfull of walnuts
150 gms wheat flour
75gms castor sugar
2 tbspn butter
60ml oil
1 tbspn pure ghee (optional)
1/4th tbspn cardamon powder
1 tbspn baking powder
1/4th tbspn baking soda
3-4 drops of vanilla essence
milk to adjust consistency
Chocolate Sauce for Garnish
Method:
First mix all the dry ingredients viz, wheat flour, baking powder and baking soda together. Seive them and keep aside.
For wet ingredients,
Take a bowl add castor sugar, butter and oil along with cardamon powder and mix untill sugar is completely dissolved and it turns as a white creamy texture.
Start adding dry ingredients in a batch and mix them with cut and fold technique.
Add milk to adjust the consistency of the batter, it should not be too runny nor too thick.
Add the walnuts in the end and fold the batter properly thereby adding it into a greased tin.
Bake it in an preheated oven on 180°C for 22 minutes.
Dont take out the cake immediately after the timer stops, let the cake sit in oven for half an hour.
Demould it when cooled completely and garnish it with chocolate sauce.
